Annoucement from the fairy godmother

Dearest Fairy Ring,

Our little backyard greenhouse has changed our lives and taken us in a direction that we never could have imagined! This business was purely accidental. Many of you know our story and how God used the single most greatest pain in our lives and transformed it into our livelihood and a place for new beginnings.

It used to be just the two of us - planning, coordinating, moving tables and chairs, decorating, photographing and videoing. We've since grown enough to have an entire team of coordinators, our florist, photographers, videographers and our dearest friends who work for hours behind the scenes in multiple areas that you never see to make each wedding we host possible, and to keep our business running efficiently. 

It's no secret that we live on property and the venue space is our backyard! Many of our policies are in place to protect our personal lives, our children and set boundaries for the use of our home. However, we will no longer live on property for 2027 and beyond, creating a huge shift in the way the Fairy Godmother's House can be used and our policies. It's now available as a rental to be used in conjunction with our weddings! With that comes a new set of policies, all still operating within our permit from the county. (Some of you remember that whole story!)

We never imagined we’d be hosting the amount of weddings we have! Since beginning our little venue in 2020, we’re close to the 500 mark. For the last 3 years, we've been operating April - October, hosting over 100 weddings a year. Each wedding is 100% unique and specifically customized to that couple. Cookie cutter is not our style! 

It’s impossible to put into words what an honor it is to have hosted these families in our backyard. We've learned many lessons, some incredibly enriching and good for us, and some the hard way. We learn something new every year - something that betters us and our business. To continue to host at the level and quality that we demand from ourselves, we have decided to make some changes within our business.

As much as we'd love to host every single couple we possibly could, 100 weddings a year is no longer sustainable. In order to give 100% to our family and to our couples, we will be scaling back the amount of weddings we take on per month and per year, beginning 2027. This will allow us to continue doing what we love and provide for our family, our staff and our couples to our fullest extent. Once our cap has been reached for the year, bookings will close for that year. Our track record has been such that the year is fully booked before it begins, with our busiest months being April, May, June, September and October. 2026 is fully booked. 2027 is 70% booked. 2028 is 30% booked.

Once we hit our cap for the 2028 season, our pricing and business structure will shift. We will no longer be offering photo/video in-house. Our in-house team will be added to our Recommend Vendor list as their own businesses. There will also be new minimums to encourage the further use of our in-house services for a seamless experience.

There truly aren’t words big enough to hold the gratitude we feel for every couple who has trusted us with such a sacred piece of their story. That kind of trust is everything to us. It has shaped our lives, steadied our family and turned a dream into something real and lasting. Every “yes” you’ve given us has echoed far beyond a single day, and we carry that with us in the most humbling, meaningful way.
